How to become a Volunteer…

Volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation before starting volunteerism with any Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County Clubhouse. Volunteer Orientations occur on the 1st Thursday of each month at the Administrative Offices at 3:30 pm.  At the Volunteer Orientation, you will receive a Volunteer Application which requires a SSN as well as a Driver’s License Number. Please come prepared with those two numbers.

Time:  3:30pm to 4pm

Where: Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County Administrative Offices 2400 1st Ave, Greeley, CO 80631

Requirements to Volunteer:

  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Must be able to volunteer during Club hours
  • (8am-5:30pm M-F during Summer, 4pm-8pm M-F during School Year)
  • Must have a valid SSN and be able to pass a background screening
South County Volunteers

Volunteers interested in helping in Fort Lupton only may attend a separate Volunteer Orientation on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 4:00pm at Fort Lupton Middle School.

*** NOTE: There will be No South County Volunteer Orientation for the month of May

Unless noted below in Special Event Opportunities, all volunteer hours are during the after school hours from 4pm-8pm.

Here are the areas we seek volunteers for:

Program Assistance

Assisting a Program Specialist in programs designed to engage youth development

Academic Success

Homework, tutoring, reading, science, etc.

Healthy Lifestyles

Physical education, healthy habits

Fine Arts

Performing (dance, theatre), and visual arts


Assisting in coaching and officiating youth leagues: Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Football, Rugby, Soccer*Other*.

Meal Service

Serving daily meals to Club members *must be available from 5pm-7pm*

Group Volunteer Projects

Large groups interested in one time volunteer service projects or events on a request basis

*must have one contact person for entire group/organization*

Are you a UNC or AIMS student looking to fulfill practicum or internship hours?  Are you interested in building your resume by gaining more experience working with youth or in a non-profit?  We’re happy to help tailor an internship experience that meets your needs and fulfills some of the gaps we encounter.  E-mail the Director of Program Services at explaining your internship / practicum requirements and we’ll schedule an interview to see if it’s a good fit.  Please attach a resume and cover letter to be considered.
